Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during spring in a well-drained media and keep them moist and warm.

Take semi-hardwood cuttings during summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are oblong to lanceolate with an acute apex and a short petiole. The upper surface rugose with deeply pressed veins and the underside is covered in tomentose. The margin is crenulate to entire.

Flower: The small white crateriform flowers are arranged in a flat toped corymb that is up to 50mm (2in) wide and have a faint foul odor. They appear from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The orange-red pome contains 2 to 3 nutlets and is arranged in loose in clusters of 15 to 20 that persist throughout winter. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
