Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during spring in a well drained moist media and keep them warm.
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots throughout the year.
Botanic information
Leaf: The adult pinnate leaves have 5 to 10 leaflets that are ovate to lanceolate and are up to 30mm (1?in)long.
The juvenile leaves are up to 80mm (3?in)long with bluntly toothed margins and have a ferny appearance.
Flower: The tubulate flowers are normally white with maroon throats but are also gold or brown in colour. They are arranged in a terminal pendant cluster that appears from late winter to mid spring.
Fruit: The capsule splits open to release winged seeds that are 10 to 15 mm (? in) diameter and are dispersed by wind. The small seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
