Sow fresh seed during spring but they may be difficult to germinate.
Take soft tip cuttings during the growing period.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leaves vary from oval to ovate and the petiole is small or absent. The texture is rough and pubescent to prickly and the underside is creamy-white.
Flower: The semi-pendant tubulate flowers have 4-fused petals that are tipped green to yellow and the exserted stamens extend past the petals. It has a short pedicle and appears solitary in abundance over the plant from autumn to spring.
Fruit: The small seed is difficult to germinate and the plant is normally reproduced vegetative.
