Propagation
Sow seed when ripe in containers and germination takes 6 to 12 weeks. Keep the seeds moist that apply bottom heat and plant up into deep pots.


Botanic information
Leaf: The strongly ribbed large costapalmate fronds have margins that are spiny at the base and are divided into linear segments. The texture is leathery and the underside is pale green. The juvenile fronds have spiny margins.

Flower: The small cream-yellow crateriform flowers are arranged in a long cluster and are accompanied with green bracts. They normally appear after rainy periods in tropical regions or during spring.

Fruit: The globular berries are green turning black when ripe.
