Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.

Take semi-hardwood cuttings during late summer and placed on a misting bench.

Note:
Take care when selecting a site as it has a vigorous root system that can block drained damaged foundations or lipped pathways.
This plant is resistantto Phytophthora cinnamomi.


Botanic information
Leaf: The lanceolate leaves are arranged in two pairs of opposite rows and tend to taper then twist towards a pungent acuminate apex. The venation is parallel and the texture is thick and leathery.

Flower: The cyathiform flowers have numerous exserted stamens that are approximately 5mm (? in)long. The flowers are arranged in bundles of 18 to 20 and then arranged in a cylindrical spike that is up to 30mm (1?in)long and appear from spring to early summer.

Fruit: The capsule appears as squat, cup-shaped, slightly lobed and woody.It contains numerous fine viable seeds.
