Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in pots and place in a protected environment.
Take semi hardwood cuttings during summer with some leaves attached.
Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are ovate to lanceolate and the lower leaves may be pinnately divided with 3-deep lobes. The slender petiole is long and the apex is acuminate. During winter the dark green leaves turn purplish.
Flower: The rotate flowers have 5-white lobes that are slightly tinted bluish and have central column of yellow stamens. There are up to 15-flowers arranged in a terminal cluster that predominantly appear from spring to summer and sporadically appear throughout the year in warm regions.
Fruit: The small berryis green ageing to purple-black and the seed is viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
