Propagation
Take soft tip cuttings during early summer and semi-hardwood cuttings in summer. Place the cuttings in a humid warm environment.
Botanic information
Leaf: The pubescent leaves have a slightly scaly texture with prominent longitudinal veins and are ovate to lanceolate. The apex is acute and the petiole is short.
Flower: The large 5-petaled rotate flowers have prominent stamens and pistil and are arranged in a terminal paniclethat is up to 150mm(6in)long appearing during autumn.
Fruit: The reddish green ovoid capsule contains the numerous seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively to maintain true to type.
