Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring in boxes and pricked out when large enough to handle. The seeds may be sown directly to prepared bed and thinned out as required and it takes 4 to 5 months to produce flowers.

Frost protection is required for perennial species and cuttings may be taken from the base.
When planting out, space 300mm (12in) to 400mm (16in) apart.
