Take soft tip or semi hardwood cutting during autumn and placed in a sand-peat mixture.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green lanceolate to ovate leaves have an acuminate apex with whitish stomatic bands on the underside. They are prickly with small glands and are arranged in pairs in flattened sprays.
Flower: The tree is monoecious with the angular green female cones up to 5mm (¥in)in diameter. The male cones are very small and both appear at the same time during early summer.
Fruit: The cones are rounded to angular with short stalks, grey-green ripening to yellowish-brown and have small spines on the centre of the 6 to 10 scales. Ovoid seeds are notched above and below and have a membranous wing.The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
