Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are broad obovate to ovate with slight pubescence on the lower surface and the short petiole. They are arranged in flattened sprays that turn red-bronze during autumn and are semi deciduous in cooler climates.
Flower: The crateriform flowers are white inside with pink outside. They are arranged in a corymb consisting of 1 to 3 blooms and appear in leaf axils during early summer.
Fruit: The red berry-like pomes are more prolific in cold climates and are arranged in groups of 2 to 3 in the leaf axils. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
