Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in pots and in cold climates place in a cold frame to germinate.
Take cuttings during late autumn and placed on a misting bench.
Botanic information
Leaf: The glandless aromatic glaucous green scale leaves have an iridescent tinge. They are arranged in a flattened spray that is slightly pendulous.
Flower: The small female cones are prickly and brown and appear towards the end of the branchlets during spring.
Fruit: The hardwoody pale brown cones are glabrous with 8 to 10 scales. They are arranged in small clusters and are persistent on the plant.
