Propagation
Sow fresh seed in situ during autumn for winter spring display and space at 300 mm (1 ft) apart. Seedlings are frost and transplant tender and should be left undisturbed.

Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green palmate leaves have 7-11 oblanceolate leaflets that are up to 70 mm (2? in) long with an acute apex and tend to fold upwards along the mid-rib. It has stipules at base of the long petiole and the whole leaf is covered in fine silky white hairs.

Flower: The bright yellow papillionate flowers up to 20 mm (µ in) long with an erect standard that has reflex margins and 10-slightly exserted stamens. The pubescent pedestal is up to 12 mm (½ in) long and the flowers are arranged in a terminal raceme that is up to 600 mm (2 ft) long that appears above the foliage on a slender scape during spring. The flowers are pollinated by bees and the plant can fix nitrogen.

Fruit: The densely pubescent flatten elongated green pod is constricted between the 4-6 small seeds with 40 to 70 per gram.
