Propagation
Sow fresh seed in autumn or spring in situ with a spacing of 300 mm (1ft). Thin out as necessary but the seedlings dislike transplanting.


Botanic information
Leaf: The palmate leaves appear in groups of 5 to 15 with oblanceolate leaflets that are up to 70mm (2½in) long and fold upward. It has stipules at base of the long petioles and the leaf is covered in silky white hairs.

Flower: The small papillionate flowers are arranged in a terminal raceme that is up to 600mm (2ft) tall and appear during spring.

Fruit: The legume produces small seeds with 40 to 70 per gram.
