Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy dark green leaves are oblong to ovate and the margin serrate to entire. The apex is acuminate and the base is cuneate with the undersides prominently veined and the petiole up to 12mm (½in) long.

Flower: The small white funnelform to tubulate flowers are arranged in a axillary raceme towards the end of the branches and have a perfume very much like jasmine or gardenia. The flowers appear during autumn or sporadically from spring to summer.

Fruit: The small ovoid drupe is enclosed in the enlarged calyx. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
