Propagation
Take soft tip cuttings from late summer to autumn.
The plants grown from seed are variable and considered inferior.
Culture
To reduce the leggyness of the plant a regular light prune after flowering is required. Older stems may be cut out to encourage new growth
Botanic information
Leaf: The small light green leaves are acicular to narrow linear and have a citrus odor when crushed.
Flower: The pink to rosy purple salverform flowers are solitary or are arranged in a small cluster in the leaf axils towards the end of the branches. The flowers appear predominantly from mid winter to early spring but may appear sparsely at other times of the year.
Fruit: The fruit is a ribbed capsule with 5-horns at the apex. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively to maintain true to type.
