Take semi hardwood cuttings that are 50mm to 80 mm (3? in) long from late spring to summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The imparipinnate leaves have 7 to 9 leaflets that are up to 65mm (2½in) long with a mucronate apex. The terminal leaflet has an acuminate apex.
Flower: The flower buds are red and have calyx-teeth that are 5 to 10mm long. The sweetly scented salverform flowers have 5-broad lobes and are arranged in a terminal cyme that appears from spring to summer.
Fruit: The small berry is not commonly produced and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
