Sow fresh seed during spring, in containers.

Take semi hardwood cuttings during late summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The narrow lanceolate leaves are up to 12mm (½in) wide and are arranged alternatly or whorled along the stems. The margins are slightly recurved and the underside is grey and downy. The obtuse apex may be notched.

Flower: There are up to thirty 5-petaled crateriform flowers arranged in a corymb that appears on a small leafy spur branch, profusely from spring to early summer.

Fruit: The yellow to bright orange rounded pome is flattened at either end and are a decorative feature of the plant. The seeds are dispersed by birds and have a short viability period. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
