Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy dark green cordate leaves are up to 120mm (4µ in) wide with white tomentose underneath. The apex is acuminate and the base is cordate.

Flower: The short lived funnelform to crateriform flowers have 5-overlapping petals that are yellow with a brown-red centre that becomes rusty orange with age. The flowers are semi pendulous (nodding) and appear solitary or in a small cyme from early to midsummer or throughout the year in tropical regions.

Fruit: The small capsule is pubescent and the seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
