Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during spring in a well drained media and keep moist.
Propagation is normally carried out by dividing the clump during autumn but it will tolerate division throughout the growing season.
Botanic information
Leaf: The linear (grass-like) leaves are glossy dark green up to 3 mm (? in)wide and the variegated form is yellow-green.
Flower: The small white to mauve or lilac salverform flowers are arranged in a raceme that appears amongst the foliage during early summer and are not normally a feature of the plant.
Fruit: The purple to blue pea-sized berry-like fruit is hidden amongst the leaves and contains only one seed. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
