Propagation
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring and semi hardwood cuttings during late summer.
Layering should be carried out during the growing period and suckers can be removed during the growing period and potted up.
Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are oval to ovate with an acuminate apex and a short petiole. The underside is pubescent and the leaves are arranged opposite pairs
Flower: The single white crateriform flowers appear solitary or in small a cluster in the leaf axils from mid to late spring. There are double or semi-double varieties available.
Fruit: The small dehiscent capsule is 4-celled and contains many seeds. It is persistent on the plant and the small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
