Propagation
Division, lift rhizomes during autumn then divide. Replant during early spring when shoots appear. Space up to 60cm (2ft) for a group planting. It is not normally grown from seed.
Botanic information
Leaf: The broad basal leaves have a cordate base with an acuminate apex and undulating margins. The upper surface has translucent spots and the petiole is a long.
Flower: The bright yellow funnel-shaped spathe is up to 150 mm (6 in) long with a yellow spadix. It is held above the foliage on a green thickish scape and appears during summer.
Fruit: The yellow berries are arranged in a spike, and the small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
