Propagation
Sow fresh seed during autumn in a well-trained media and the flowers appear 6 to 7 years from seedlings.

Divide the clump during spring and young plants need protection from frost and should be placed in a semi shade position. Remove suckers during the growing period and pot up or planned out.

Culture
Large plants are easily transplanted into new gardens for an instant effect and the flowers attract nectar and insect eating birds.
When young, this plant is not frost tolerant and requires protection, but is pollution tolerant and is suitable for urban plantings. Once established it requires little maintenance and is an excellent specimen plant around commercial properties.
