Take soft tip cuttings in spring and semi hardwood cuttings during autumn.
Carry out root division during spring.
Botanic information
Leaf: The elliptical to ovate leaves are green with a leathery raspy texture and covered in fine pubescence. They are some times tinged with purple and during autumn leaves turn bronze before falling.
Flower: The small salverform flowers consist of 5-spreading blue petals with a pale mauve centre on a short pedicle. They are arranged in a terminal umbel that appears profusely over the plant from a midsummer to autumn.
Fruit: The small capsule is divided into 5-equal parts and the small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
