Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F).

Tubers divided from large roots cut with portion of old stem, with an undamaged bud. During spring soak if dry.
Take soft tip cuttings during spring up to100 mm (4in) long and kept moist in a sandy mix.

Softer sprout should be used for cuttings and should be kept away from direct sunlight.
Pot up as soon as they develop roots but do not allow them to become root bound.


Botanic information
Leaf: The large mid green pinnate leaves have rounded leaflets and may be tripinnate with a crenate to dentate margin.

Flower: The radiate flowers appear high above the foliage on a slender scape appearing throughout summer.
There are 11 floral groupings; single, anemone, collarets, peony, formal, informal, show, pompom, cactus, semi-cactus and star. These plants are available in a wide colour range and appear from early to late summer.

Fruit: The small seed set in single flowers and should be stored in cool dry position till early spring. The seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
