Propagation
Take semi-hardwood cuttings in late spring or summer and a place in a well-drained moist media.

Aerial or ground layering is carried out during the growing period.


Botanic information
Leaf: The leathery texture leaves are ovate to cordate with the upper surface slightly tomentose and has 3 to 5 nerves from the base on the upper surface. The margin may be serrate or lobed and the petiole is up to 80mm (3¥ in) long.

Flower: The slightly 2-lipped funnelform flowers have 5-spreading pale blue to purple petals and a yellowish throat. The pedestal is up to 50 mm (2in) long and the flowers are arranged in a drooping raceme that appears throughout summer.

Fruit: The small spherical capsule has a beaked upper part. It opens longitudinally and has two valves with flat seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
