Propagation
During spring sow seed and the plant will flower in about five years.

Divide the clump after flowering and reduce leaves by half.


Botanic information
Leaf: The long lanceolate leaves are up to 30 mm (1? in)wide and have ribbed parallel venation with an acute apex. The texture is soft and a leathery and the leaves arch outward as the clump grows.

Flower: The funnelform flowers are orange with a yellow throat and there are up to 20 blooms arranged in aterminal umbel that appears amongst the foliage in a short scape from late winter to late spring.

Fruit: Under cultivation the berries are normally removed to encourage prolonged flowering. The fruit ages from green to crimson from autumn to winter and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
