Propagation
Pre soak seeds in warm water to 40ºC (55ºF)for 24 hours before sowing.


Botanic information
Leaf: The imparipinnate leaves are up to 200 mm (7µ in) long and have11 to 41 dark green lanceolate leaflets that are duller and downy underneath. They have a leathery texture and the new growth is reddish and downy.

Flower: There are 5-10 red to pink papillionate flowers arranged in a raceme that appears from leaf axils towards the end of branches during spring. Intermittent flushes of flowers may appear during summer.

Fruit: The pod is up to 80 mm (3? in) long and contains numerous oval black seeds with a hard seed-coat. The seed remain viable for up to 30 years and will germinate in situ under favourable conditions.
