Propagation
Take soft tip cuttings during spring and semi-hardwood cuttings from spring to autumn up to 80-100 mm (4in) long during.Root up in a mixture of peat and sand and keep moist but not wet.
Watering
This plant does not require excessive watering and should only be watered when the soil appears dry on the surface. In potted plants allow the water to drain away before re-watering.
Botanic information
Leaf: The broad ovate leaves are succulent and waxy with a pleated appearance up to 76 mm (3 in) wide and have 5 to 7 lobes. The petiole is long and the leaves do not normally display concentric rings on the upper surface.
Flower: The flowers consist of 5-uneven obovate petals in singles, semi-doubles and doubles. They are arranged in terminal umbels that appear on the new season's growth. The flower shape may vary from rotate to shallow funnelform and appear from spring to autumn.
Fruit: The dry pointed schizocarp capsule containing multiple carpelsand is indehiscent. The tiny seedsare dispersed by wind andare viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
