Propagation
Take soft tip cuttings during early spring and place in a protect environment until roots appear.
Take semi-hardwood cuttings from summer to autumn.


Botanic information
Leaf: The small sessile elliptical leaves have an obtuse to mucronate apex and a slightly tomentose on the upper surface. The pubescent undersides are greyish and in cold climates the shrub may be deciduous.
Note
Buds are usually oppressed, imbricate and brown to pale-grey in colour. The 2 outer bud scales are slightly opened, revealing the pubescent interior.

Flower: The 5-petalled crateiform flowers are white with red anthers and appear solitary or in pairs during early summer.

Fruit: The small glossy crimson berry-like pomes are arranged along the branches in clusters and persist throughout winter on the plant.The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
