Propagation
Semi hardwood cuttings taken during autumn.
Sow fresh seed during spring, in containers and place in an open frame to germinate.
Note:
Care shoulsd be taken when positioning as the stems have thorns.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leaves have margins that are turned up to give a spoon-like appearance and may be crenulate. The underside is lighter green and the shape may be narrow spatulate to obovate.
Flower: The small crateriform white flowers appear in a cluster of 30 to 60 on a leafy spur along the branches and appear from a late spring to early summer.
Fruit: The berry-like pome is orange turning red at maturity and are arranged in a cluster towards the end of the branches. The small seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively
