Propagation
Take soft tip or semi hardwood cuttings of non-flowering shoots from spring to autumn.

Sow seeds when ripe and place in a cold frame to germinate.


Botanic information
Leaf: The very small scale-like pointed light green linear leaves have salt secreting glands and turn orange-red during autumn before falling.

Flower: The small cyathiform flowers have 4-petals that persist after flowers have finished. They are arranged in a terminal raceme that is up to 500mm (20 in) long and appear on the previous seasons growth.

Fruit: The small capsule has 3 to 5 cells and contains numerous seeds that are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
