Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early autumn.

Hardwood cuttings taken during summer and large limbs will strike easily if kept moist.
This tree may be transplanted at a large size.


Botanic information
Leaf: The leaf is composed of 5 to 9 leathery leaflets with an undulating margin and an acuminate to acute apex. Old leaves turn red before falling and are a feature of the plant.

Flower: The small female flowers are not easily seen and only the pale yellow-green cyathiform male flowers are conspicuous. They are arranged in a pendant panicle that appears during summer. The male and female flowers appear on different trees.

Fruit: The ovoid green drupe turns red with age and contains numerous small seeds. The fruit is commonly eaten by monkeys and parrots and can be a fruit fly hazard.
